Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I store my tent?

    Before storing your roof top tent, open it up and and make sure it is clean and dry. Fold neatly to make sure skylights only have one crease in them. Store your roof top tent in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight and away from insects and mice. It is preferable to store the rtt on it's mounting rails but if needs dictate it can be stored on its side with 2x4s underneath to keep the travel cover off the floor.
  2. How do I clean my roof top tent?

    To clean your roof top tent, first brush away all loose dirt and debris. Most often this will be sufficient but for large mud or dirt spots use warm water and a mild detergent. Use a sponging technique to get particularly tough spots. Brush off again and allow to air dry before packing it away.
  3. How long will the PU treating last?

    With proper care the polyurethane coating will last for the life of your tent. If you do find yourself needing to recoat your tent, we recommend Aqua-Tite Repellant.
  4. My friend wants to use my tent. What do I need to mount it to his vehicle?

    Your RTT comes with universal mounting rails and all the hardware needed to attach it to any cross members. You might need extended bolts depending on the thickness of the cross members of the car you are mounting to.
  5. What does your limited lifetime warranty cover?

    Odin Designs currently offers a limited lifetime warranty that cover all the products from manufacturing defects. This is limited to the original owner and can not be transferred. The warranty covers everything except issues that might arise from neglect or misuse. If the zipper cracks in half on you for no apparent reason, you're covered. If you get the fabric caught in the zipper and decided to be the hulk and just rip it apart... you're on your own.    
  6. How does the free shipping work?

    Most items get sent directly to your house. Due to size we can not send some items to PO boxes(awnings). Also due to issues with size and unloading in residential areas, all tents are shipped to the nearest shipping terminal where you will have 2 days to pick it up before it starts incurring a storing fee, plus why would you leave your awesome tent at a warehouse when you could be out using it? 
  7. I just recieved my tent, how do I assemble it?

    Check out this VIDEO for instructions on how to assemble your tent. If you should have any questions please give us a call. 
  8. How do I go about cancelling an order or getting a refund?

    As long as you are able to cancel an order before it ships, you will be refunded in full. If an item needs to be returned that is not under our warranty policy, return shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer along with a 20% restocking fee. 
  9. I just ordered, when will I recieve my items? 

    All in stock items will go out via Fedex within 2-3 business days. Most items have a shipping time of 3-4 business days after they have been shipped. For anything backorderd, there will be an ETA for when it will be back in stock. Once it is in stock, you will be notified and recieve your shipment details.
  10. I hate getting spam, what is your privacy policy?

    No one hates getting spam as much as we do, we never give out your information for anything... period. The only information that we store is order details for warranty purposes, all payments are made through a third party and as such we will never have access to your financial information.
